Squarespace is an affordable website design and hosting platform that you pay a monthly or annual subscription fee for. As a Squarespace expert we also get a 20% discount to pass on to you (woop woop!) if you choose an annual plan.
The subscription fee depends on which Squarespace plan is best for your needs. Once we understand your requirements we will recommend the appropriate plan for you.
As a ballpark, though, the pricing for most use cases ranges from $28-39NZD per month if paid annually. For e-commerce websites the plan can start from $45 and go up to $81NZD per month for more advanced commerce functionality.
All plans include all the core features listed on our What You Get page (including a free custom domain!) and provide excellent value for money.
All Squarespace subscriptions include fully-managed hosting so you don’t have to pay another provider or fee for this (as you may have in the past on other web platforms).
Squarespace plans are paid monthly or yearly. They make it simple to start (and stop) your service at any time.

We like to keep things super streamlined so that we can offer the best service and price possible.
Kickoff – Fill in our contact form so that we have all the required information about your business and website requirements. After accepting our quote you pay 50% of the project fee to kick off.
Content – First we’ll send a detailed questionnaire to get every single piece of information we need to start and finish the site; from company tax information to product/service descriptions, staff bios, company vision statements and customer testimonials.
This will allow us to write your website copy.
Design – We start with creating your site styles including colours and fonts. We then start building each page around the content and what we want users to do on each page, always designing to web best practise with creative flair. If you choose E-Commerce Enabled package we will set up and design your online store. We will also integrate additional functionality if you opt for extras such as gift vouchers, membership portal, email marketing, chatbot or appointment scheduling.
Backend Setup – We take care of all the unseen things in the background such as SEO, analytics, contact forms, business details and so much more. If you have an existing domain we will take care of pointing it to your new site.
Go Live – After a final quality check and your approval we will set your website live.

Yes! All of our packages contain copywriting because the right words are crucial to an effective website. After sending you a questionnaire to get all the raw information about you, your business and your products/services – we’ll polish it up and make it sound oh-so amazing.

Although we believe it’s best to invest in bespoke, professional, branded imagery – not having any needn’t stop you from launching a beautiful website! Our Web Design, Copy & Stock Imagery package includes curation and licensing of stock images from our database. We’ll use our creative eye to find the best images for every section of your site.

Nope! You don’t need anything in fact. Case in point: we designed this website without a brand. We chose colours, fonts and even designed a ‘logo’ all within Squarespace – so we can do the same for you.
However, if you do have your own existing logo and fonts we can run with them.
50% of the time our clients decide to use the website design process as a mini ‘rebrand’ anyway, experimenting with new colour combinations and fonts.

Haven’t secured your www? While third-party providers like GoDaddy or NameCheap work, we recommend getting it through Squarespace. Let Pixelcraft set up your account to snag a free domain for a year (with Squarespace’s annual plan) and enjoy 20% off their pricing when you upgrade.

For those with a domain already, you don’t need to transfer yours to Squarespace to use their platform — unless you're dissatisfied with your current domain provider. Pixelcraft can assist you in updating the Advanced DNS (Domain Name System) settings to connect your domain to Squarespace. This is a standard practice.

Yes, if you need one! Once your new domain is active through Squarespace, we can set up your Google Workspace account through Squarespace too (extra charges apply per email). Your email will use your custom domain, e.g. example@pixelcraft.com

Absolutely! This is one of the key reasons we design Squarespace websites – it puts the power back in your hands. You will be given Owner access to manage and make changes to your website after it goes live (after we’ve given you a training session of course). You’ll find it’s an intuitive, user-friendly experience. And if you ever need to learn how to do something the Squarespace Help Guide has an answer for everything!
Of course, if you’d simply prefer that we take care of ongoing changes and updates – we can do this at our hourly rate of $175+GST on a case-by-case basis.

Of course! If you’ve got bigger fish to fry we’d be happy to implement ongoing changes and updates. We can do this at our hourly rate of $175+GST on a case-by-case basis. All work will be scoped and quoted before commencing so that you have full transparency and control of your ongoing website maintenance costs.

You do! Your website is your asset. You may choose to allow us to have Admin/Editor access to your website after launching (if you want us to make changes and edits on an ongoing basis, for instance) but you will always be the Owner.
